Redeemer Lutheran School Year 5 students recently visited Monarto Zoo, braving cold and wet conditions to enhance their current unit of study into nature’s adaptations.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to safari around the Zoo grounds visiting the variety of animals,” Year 5 teacher Shaun Copeland said, “They had an awesome day observing the animals up close – even spending lunch time with some emus that strolled into the open area where we were eating lunch and came about 15 metres away from us.”
The visit coincided with the year 5’s current unit of study about how living things adapt to new and changing environments.
