Last week the Discoverers went on an excursion to the Botanic Gardens and spent some time in the Little Spouts Kitchen Garden. We also walked through the gardens exploring the uses of different plants from an indigenous perspective. While in the kitchen garden we had the opportunity to harvest some tomatoes, zucchini and limes.
Today we used this produce to make zucchini noodles with tomato and basil sauce, and lime-ade to accompany our food. We worked in groups across the village to prepare the ingredients before cooking and eating our meal together.
