We ended Term 1 at Redeemer with our annual Cross Country and Walkathon.  This event is a highlight of our year and was a day filled with excitement, energy and lots of colour.  It started with every year level running the cross country track around our large school site.  For older students, this is their chance to qualify for the SAPSASA Cross Country events later in the year.  This was then followed by our Walkathon where older buddies walked alongside their younger buddies to try and complete as many laps of the track as they could.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to spend time with their buddies from another year level as well as joining in some physical activity.  With a theme of superheroes this year, the Walkathon was a bright and colourful event with lots of superpowers on display and some fantastic costumes.

We couldn’t be prouder of the effort all of our students put in for this event and couldn’t help reflecting on how amazing it was to see so many children being active in our school.  Well done students and a big thank you to our fantastic PE teacher Mrs Sioux Moresi for her hard work in putting this event together.
